Clock ticking on cookie contest

In the spirit of the season, we at Taste are organizing a Christmas cookie exchange, and there's still time to submit recipes for it.

Submit your favorite recipe, along with a line or two about why these sweets are special to you. We'll choose a selection and ask finalists to bring their cookies to the Review-Journal office on Nov. 29 or 30. Our top three cookie bakers will each receive a cookbook.

Email recipes to HRinella@
reviewjournal.com (put "Cookie Exchange" in the subject line); mail them to Cookie Exchange, Heidi Knapp Rinella, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125; or fax them to 383-4676, addressing the fax to Heidi Knapp Rinella and marking it "Cookie Exchange." Include your name, age, city and a daytime phone number in case we need additional information.

Recipes must be received by 5 p.m. Friday. We'll run a selection of the top cookies in the newspaper and online in December.
