John Stamos cited for DUI in Beverly Hills

Actor John Stamos, 51, of “Full House” fame was arrested late Friday in Beverly Hills, California, and given a citation for driving under the influence. He was also taken to hospital for treatment of a possible medical condition.

Police received numerous calls about a possible DUI, said Sgt. David Armour.

Officers pulled Stamos over, who showed officers his driver’s license and identified himself verbally. Paramedics transferred him to a local hospital where he was examined for a possible medical condition.

His intoxication was corroborated there, and Stamos was arrested for driving under the influence and given a citation but released to the hospital for treatment.

He was the only occupant in the car and is to appear in court on September 11.

Stamos became famous in the role of Jesse on “Full House.” He is also starring in the upcoming series “Grandfathered” on FOX TV, according to the Internet Movie Database.
