Local pop rockers Avalon Landing advance in music competition

For Vegas pop rockers Avalon Landing, it’s 725 bands down, 24 to go.

The group recently made it to the final round of the Hard Rock Rising global battle of the bands competition, earning a spot among the final 25 acts after more than 10,000 bands entered and 750 performed as part of the contest at over 70 Hard Rock Cafes around the world.

Should the band win, they will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Rome to play the inaugural Hard Rock Live Rome music festival this summer.

Avalon Landing will now be evaluated, along with the other 24 finalists, by a group of celebrity judges including guitarist Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band, hit songwriter Bonnie McKee, Scott Hutchison of indie rockers Frightened Rabbit and others.

Stayed tunes to see if these dudes will need to be getting their passports renewed in the near future.
