CDs

Frank Ocean, "Channel ORANGE": Recently R&B singer-songwriter and member of the Odd Future hip-hop collective Frank Ocean made news by announcing he is gay.

Seeing as how there are few artists in hip-hop who are openly homosexual, this created quite a stir, especially considering that members of his own group have used anti-gay slurs in some of their songs.

Headlines aside, Ocean's talent is as undeniable as his bravery, and with his debut solo disc out now, talk can turn to what really matters: his music.

Also in stores: Baroness, "The Yellow & Green Album"; Citizen Cope, "One Lovely Day"; Jimmy Cliff, "Rebirth"; Hellyeah, "Band of Brothers"; Jeff the Neighborhood, "Hypnotic Nights"; Matisyahu, "Spark Seeker"; Nas, "Life is Good"; Old Crow Medicine Show, "Carry Me Back"; Pierce the Veil, "Collide with the Sky"; Saving Abel, "Bringing Down the Giant"; Soul Asylum, "Delayed Reaction"; and The Wiggles, "Big Birthday!"
