Theme songs for the Final Four

If you’ve been watching the NCAA basketball tournament this year, you’ve probably seen The Killers perform “Shot at the Night” outside the Grand Canyon.

The song has been the musical backdrop of March Madness, but now that the Final Four has been set, why stop there?

We’ve taken it upon ourselves to pick a theme song for each of the remaining teams from a Vegas band.

The ball’s in your court now, dudes.

— Florida Gators

The Vermin, “Oh Lord It’s Hard To Be Humble”: The over-all top seed headed into the tournament, the Gators have lived up to the hype thus far, so they’re well represented by this blast of tongue-in-cheek ’tude.

— Connecticut Huskies

The Fat Dukes, “Eventually You’ll Do Something To F!@# It All Up”: Yeah, guard Shabazz Napier has been playing out of his mind of late, but, c’mon, this seven-seeded team is living on borrowed time, hence this eight-minute, acid metal head trip foretelling their inevitable demise.

— Kentucky Wildcats

The Killers, “When You Were Young”: Gotta double down on The Killers here, as their Springsteen-indebted staple is perfect for a team that’s started five freshmen much of the year.

— Wisconsin Badgers

Spun in Darkness, “All Must Die”: Badgers are mean and nasty. Spun in Darkness is mean and nasty — so this is a good fit. But unlike the B-ball squad and their cry-baby coach Bo Ryan, Vegas’ doom death heavyweights will drown you in blood, not tears.
