99 Words About … The scourge of Whitney Cummings

What did sitcoms ever do to Whitney Cummings?

The once-likable comic co-parented the shame spiral known as CBS' "2 Broke Girls," with its too-obvious jokes of the immigrants-and-vaginas variety.

And her before-a-live-studio-audience "Whitney" feels like the perfect NBC comedy. Of 1996.

"Whitney" so sullied NBC's vaunted Thursday lineup, executive producer Betsy Thomas was left whining about the "snobbery" of her overwhelmingly superior neighbors.

It was like a turd in a swimming pool ... complaining about the swimming pool.

Admitting defeat, NBC is moving "Whitney" to Wednesdays. But if it must remain, there's a more suitable day for it: Feb. 29.
