Our Nixon — This new documentary from Penny Lane offers viewers a different perspective on President Richard Nixon, thanks to home movies shot by top White House aides H.R. Haldeman, John Ehrlichman and Dwight Chapin. They capture historic events such as the moon landing and Nixon’s visit to China, but the most interesting footage may be the private, everyday moments that show the human side of Nixon and the people around him. Motive — Flynn and Vega (Kristin Lehman, Louise Ferreira) investigate a killing with a tragic, desperate twist in which murder might actually be an act of healing in the new episode “Undertow.’’ John Pyper-Ferguson (“Brothers & Sisters’’) guest stars as the killer. So Undercover — Miley Cyrus does the double-life thing again in this 2012 action comedy, but this time she’s not a typical teen by day, pop star by night. Her character is a private eye’s daughter recruited by an FBI agent to work undercover as a college sorority girl and protect the daughter of a key witness in a mob trial. At 9 p.m. on ABC Family.

Continuum — After a bullet intended for Julian (Richard Harmon) hits Alec’s (Erik Knudsen) mother instead, Kiera (Rachel Nichols) has a tough decision to make: How far is she willing to go to put a stop to Julian’s murderous future? Victor Webster and Stephen Lobo also star in the new episode “Seconds.’’ At 10 p.m. on Syfy.
