Two big summer package tours announced

Some classic punk and classic hip-hop is coming to Las Vegas via two big summer package tours announced today, both of which will hit The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.

First, on Aug. 2, there’s the “Legends of Hip-Hop” lineup, which unites DMX, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Biz Markie, Slick Rick, Black Sheep and Rob Base on a bill of “Yo, MTV Raps!” staples.

Then, on Aug. 27, there’s the “Summer Nationals” tour, headlined by the Offspring, who will perform their breakout “Smash” album in its entirety to coincide with the 20th anniversary of its release. They will be joined by Bad Religion, Pennywise, who are touring with original singer Jim Lindberg once again, and a band to be announced.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday.
