72-year-old woman identified by coroner’s office

A pedestrian who died last week after being struck by a pickup in the west valley was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner's office as 72-year-old Zita Sabaliauskiene.

Las Vegas police said the collision occurred at 3:49 p.m. May 18 at 1601 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Charleston Boulevard.

Police said Geoffrey Kassarjian, 35, was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram out of a parking lot to go south on Rainbow when the truck struck Sabaliauskiene, who was walking north. She died at the scene.
