Firefighters, winds do battle over blaze at recycling company

Family not hopeful of finding missing brother alive

The family of a man missing since January hasn’t given up its search but has lowered its expectations. “We’re looking for his body,” said Jeffrey Goldberg, the man’s brother. Keith Goldberg, 54, disappeared Jan. 31 after leaving his east valley apartment. He was captured on a surveillance camera near Las Vegas Boulevard South and St. Rose Parkway that morning.

Water Authority board OKs rate increases

The Southern Nevada Water Authority board used February’s extra day to push through a rate increase that will boost most residential bills by about $5 a month starting in May. The fee totals $5 a month for the average single-family home, about $35 a month for a small retail store and more than $2,200 a month for a large resort.
