Woman in wheelchair dies after being hit by pickup truck
A woman in a wheelchair was struck by a pickup and killed Friday evening.
Las Vegas police said the woman, who was in her 60s, was in the roadway on Oquendo Road, near Eastern Avenue and Russell Road, when she was struck about 6 p.m. Investigators determined she was at fault in the accident. It wasn't clear Friday night why the woman was in the roadway.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she died.
Police said there was no evidence the driver of the Nissan Frontier pickup was impaired during the accident.
