NHP investigating fatal crash on I-15 near Moapa

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on southbound Interstate 15 at mile marker 73, about 20 miles south of Moapa, according to the agency's website.

Troopers were called to the highway about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. According to NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel, a motorcycle rear-ended a tractor-trailer. A Mazda vehicle was also involved, Stuenkel said.

No injuries were reported to anyone involved except the motorcyclist pronounced deceased at the scene, who has only been identified as an adult male, Stuenkel said.

Southbound traffic was diverted onto the shoulder, Stuenkel said.
