Nevada reports 357 new cases of COVID-19, 4 deaths

Nevada reported 357 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths on Monday, according to state data.
The new cases brought the state total to 71,967, and fatalities increased to 1,393. More than 60 percent of fatalities statewide have been among those over 70.
In Clark County, one death and 239 cases were reported Monday, bringing the totals to 1,206 deaths and 61,476 cases, according to state data.
The Washoe County Health District reported 70 new cases, raising its total to 7,745. The county’s death toll was unchanged, at 146.
Pahrump reported five new cases and now has 435 of the 482 cases in Nye County, according to state and local data.
Hospitalizations of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients in Nevada were unchanged at 597 on Monday.
Most people who contract COVID-19 experience mild to moderate symptoms, and some have none. But the elderly and people with underlying health conditions are at higher risk of serious complications and death from the disease.
