The American people deserve better than waiting for the politicians themselves and their sympathetic pundits to tell us they are still OK. Can we believe them?

Not just a fairy tale.
As the 2024 campaign rolls on, polls show that the border is a top issue for many voters. Immigration has topped Gallup polling for multiple months in a row for the first time.
The tendency to cast Trump as a tool of the ideological right serves the purposes of both sides. The right needs to believe Trump is a warrior for its causes to justify its support for him, and the left wants to believe the same to justify its opposition.
Democrats aren’t upset that President Joe Biden is senile. They’re upset that they can’t hide it from the public any longer.

He has driven this country the wrong way for far too long. We all know the damage a wrong-way driver can do.
I’m 82. I’m not as nimble as I use to be, but my brain works very well — and so does Mr. Biden’s.
Perhaps the whole problem with people endangering others could be solved if we stopped knocking down traffic tickets to parking tickets.
