LETTER: Nevadans need answers for 911 outage

Elected officials in Nevada, Nebraska and South Dakota must demand accountability from local 911 service providers (“Las Vegas 911 system restored after outage lasting hours,” April 18 Review-Journal). A 911 system outage of any duration is unacceptable. Many critical communications systems are designed with layers of redundancy to prevent the type of system failure. We can and must do better.
