UNLV professor omits some historical facts

According to the Oct. 7 Review-Journal, UNLV history professor Tessa Winkelmann told her classroom that she had predicted “people will die” when Donald Trump was elected president. Why didn’t Ms. Winkelmann mention that in 2016 more than 700 people were murdered in Chicago thanks to gun violence.

Mr. Trump was not president then, Barack Obama was.

How about the 4,000 murders in Chicago during Mr. Obama’s two terms as president? How come the professor never mentioned those facts of history?
