On Saturday the Lights look for the first win of their 2020 campaign and first franchise win over in-state rival Reno 1868 FC.
After a four-month suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Lights FC continued its third United Soccer League Championship season Saturday losing 2-1 to the San Diego Loyal SC.
When the Lights step on the field Saturday night, they will not only continue their season but lead the charge for the return of Las Vegas professional team sports.
Interim coach Frank Yallop, who took over for Eric Wynalda, is preparing the Lights for the resumption of the USL season. They will resume play July 25 at San Diego Loyal SC.
The Lights FC of the United Soccer League will allow “fans” into Cashman Field for the 2020 restart as oversized cutouts.
The Las Vegas Lights FC kicked off training camp at Cashman Field on Monday with some notable changes to their roster.
